This Is Where It Begins

Or maybe where it restarts.

I don’t know if I’m forty or forty-something. Depends who’s asking. All I know is that hangovers last longer than social media trends, and I’ve run out of excuses not to finally see what’s out there.

I’ve spent years creating things — podcasts, paintings, random half-finished “genius” projects that never made it past the notes app. But I’ve never really tried to see the world through my own lens. Until now.

Why I’m Doing This

I’m chasing something I can’t quite name — peace, meaning, or maybe just better lighting. I want to merge everything I’ve ever loved — art, photography, humor, storytelling — into something that makes people feel again.

Not in a pretentious, museum-plaque kind of way. More in the “holy shit, that’s just a mountain but somehow I feel alive” kind of way.

Maybe this is a creative midlife crisis. Or maybe it’s the first honest thing I’ve done in a while.

The Fear Factor

If you’ve ever put your work out there — your art, your voice, your weird heart — you know the feeling. It’s like standing naked in a hurricane of opinions. But lately, doing nothing feels scarier than being misunderstood.

I’ve spent too many years waiting to “feel ready.” Ready doesn’t exist. There’s just start. And starting means shaking off the fear, grabbing the camera, and seeing what happens.

What I’m Building

Echoes Abroad isn’t a blog — it’s a creative experiment. It’s my attempt to mix the chaos of curiosity with a little beauty and a lot of honesty. I want to tell stories that remind people awe still exists — not the kind you find in filters or travel brochures, but the kind that makes you stop and breathe for a second.

There are plans — calendars, coffee table books, maybe even a short documentary. But for now, it’s just me: a guy with a camera, a dream, and an unreasonable amount of confidence for someone who still packs socks last minute.

Why Travel, Now?

I’ve never been a backpacker. I like beds, showers, and the occasional minibar. But lately, I’ve been craving more than comfort. I want to see the world not to escape life — but to live it with the volume turned up.

I read The Overstory recently, and it cracked something open. Made me realize nature isn’t background — it’s part of the story. Every mountain, tree, and wave is a character older and wiser than any of us.

So I’m heading out — camera in hand, heart in flux — to capture moments for people who might not get to see them firsthand. Maybe for people who forgot how beautiful the world can be when you actually look.

The Truth

If you’ve ever felt like your creative spark dimmed — or that you missed your shot — you didn’t. You’re not too late. I’m proof, or at least, I’m trying to be.

So this is where it begins.
A restart.
A leap.
A reminder that we can still surprise ourselves.

Come along. Let’s see what we find together.
